Spicy Chick-fil-A with Chick-fil-A Sauce

I'm back!!! Happy Monday to all!! 😊Took some time off to practice new recipes with my new chef style slide in!!! Talk about turning up the heat...low is the new medium and medium is the new high and high is the new singe your eyebrows!! So since I'm turning up the heat ..I thought I'd start off with a Spicy Chick-fil-A chicken breast copy cat recipe I found. The critics, my husband, son and grandson, love it and said it's better than the real thing! I have experimented with both chicken thighs and chicken breasts with this recipe and I much prefer the thighs, but you can use whichever you like. I also made it a little more carb friendly by using almond flour in place of the regular flour.

Spicy Chick-fil-A
Ingredients:
2 large chicken breasts cut in half length wise
1/2 cup pickle juice mixed with 1/2 cup water
2 cups flour or almond flour
1/3 cup powdered sugar
3 tsp paprika
2 tbs black pepper
2 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
2 eggs
Canola Oil for frying

Preparation:
1. Prepare brine - Mix pickle juice, you can buy it from Amazon, and water in a large container
2. Heat oil to 350
3. Place split chicken breasts in brine and let sit for about 30 minutes
4. Prepare breading – in a large container mix flour, powder sugar, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, chili powder, salt and baking power. Set aside.
5. Prepare egg wash – in a large container beat the eggs and milk. Set aside.
6. Bread your chicken – remove one piece of chicken from the brine and dip in the egg wash, then dredge in the flour mixture, coating both sides.
7. Fry your chicken- once coated on both sides fry your chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
8. Serve and enjoy!

Chick-fil-A sauce:
1/2 cup mayo
3 tsp yellow mustard
3 tsp honey
1 tsp dijon honey mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp of lemon juice
1 tsp of bbq sauce

1. Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving with your spicy chicken!
